Over the past four years, from January 2021 to October 2024, the EUARENAS project has focused on enhancing political and democratic innovation through a bottom-up, practice-oriented approach. An important result of this effort is the Citizen Participation Toolkit, now available for download.
This toolkit serves as a one-stop resource, summarizing the insights and findings from the EUARENAS project while providing easy access to a wealth of knowledge and resources developed throughout various work packages.
Key Features of the Toolkit:
Summarizing Results: It encapsulates the knowledge gained during the project, highlighting significant achievements.
Facilitating Access: Users can easily navigate to in-depth knowledge, results, and resources produced at both the project and work package levels.
Showcasing Tools and Methods: The toolkit features a range of tools, guides, and methodologies designed to engage citizens in political processes effectively.
The EUARENAS project utilized diverse methods, including community reporting, action research, foresight and comparative case studies. These approaches have generated valuable insights, validated through interactions with stakeholders and discussions with policymakers and practitioners.
This document not only reflects the interconnectedness of theory, method, and impact but also aims to empower citizens and enhance their participation in urban decision-making processes.
